For 5 Guitars and percussion. A spoof of Handelian themes written as an entertainment for the Bath International Summer School. Thematic material for all five parts, well within the scope of amateur average players. The percussion part is easy, mostly improvised ad lib from a few cues.

CMP 276	LITTLE SUITE No.5 - by John W. Duarte	£5.00
For 5 Guitars and a melody instrument (clarinet/violin/flute/accordeon, etc). This is an original suite in 4 movements, *Avanti Popolo, Valse Triste, Capriccio Anarchico, Adieu* designed for use by a large ensemble (there are solo and tutti sections). The original melody instrument was accordeon. Transposed part for clarinet should be ordered separately if needed.

For 2 soloists and guitar ensemble. A rattling good concerto for two Grade 7 soloists and a competent ensemble (minimum 3 players) in the style of Vivaldi. Duration : 12mins

CMP 309	CONCERTO in G Major : Vivaldi	£7.50
Originally for 2 mandolins and orchestra, this arrangement balances the less brilliant sound of guitars with small instrumental ensemble of flute, violin, cello and optional bass. Alternative parts included for complete performance by quartet or guitar orchestra.

CMP 310	LOS PALMEROS - Ian Gammie (4 or 5 guitars)	£2.75
A rumbustious dance by Ian Gammie, recalling the style of a Sevillanas. The Guitar 1 needs players who are fluent up to the 14th fret, though there is also a capo part as an alternative. The other parts are easier. Needs a good Spanish-style rhythm player as well.

CMP 345	CONTRADANZA - Ian Gammie (4 or 5 Guitars)	£3.00
Highly praised by Classical Guitar magazine, this is a rhythmic and evocative dance in 6/8 time, for four or five guitars with optional bass. Additional capo part for easier performance of Guitar 1.

CMP 377	JESU JOY OF MAN'S DESIRING - J.S. Bach : arr David Watson	£3.50
This arrangement of the famous chorale from Cantata 147 requires a player of Grade 3-4 on the triplet descant line. The piece can be performed by trio, quartet or quintet. The slow-moving Chorale and harmony can be played on 1, 2 or 3 separate guitars. If played by one guitar (who then has to play three-part harmony throughout); this player will need to be approx grade 5. If divided between two players, one player at least will need to be approx Grade 4. But if the Chorale and harmony is divided between three players the parts are easy enough for Grade 1-2. The bass line is fairly easy (approx Grade 2). All parts are included in the basic edition, including transposed capo parts to make high notes easy to read for the inexperienced. All parts can be doubled with extra players if available.

CMP 391	CONCERTO in D Major - J.M. Böhm (4 or more Guitars)	£6.50
Written by J.M. Böhm (c.1720) arranged by Ian Gammie. Two soloists and accompanying ensemble (ideally of 6 to 10 players) are the intended forces, though a minimalist version can be made by guitar quartet. There is an easy ripieno part for inexperienced players, and the Continuo Guitar needs to read fluently with Bass D. There is a set of parts for string trio with double bass for those who have a chamber orchestra at their disposal. The work is more in the form of a large trio sonata in four movements rather than a conventional concerto. The two solo parts need good players but are not excessively difficult. Four movements: Grave, Allegro, Andante, Minuet. Duration 11 mins.

A rock-style number in straight tempo, with an optional 16 bar improvising section, based on two mixolydian modes and a blues scale; improvisation ideas included. 4 guitars plus rhythm and bass.

CMP 501	HUNKY-DORIAN - Ian Gammie	£4.00
A Latin chôro piece also in straight tempo, needing a fluent reader for Guitar I, but with easier parts for Guitars 2, 3 and 4; the bass is ad lib. Improvisation ideas included. 4 guitars plus rhythm and bass.

In swing tempo. A very tuneful exploration of the Dorian mode ideally suited to the less experienced, with hints on improvising extra repeats.

SBM 005	CHACONNE - Steve Fordington. (3 or 5 guitars)	£5.50
A composition on a basso ostinato. Guitar 2 contains 3-note chords throughout and is also supplied in single note parts as Gtrs 4, 5 and 6 for ease of performance.

The Guitar 4 part is double notes throughout, but is alternatively arranged on to two instruments (Guitars 5 and 6) for less experienced players. The Guitar 1 is quite high and more difficult than the rest.
